St. Louis Eagles
“There’s a new bird in town.”
The St. Louis Eagles were an NHL team for only one year, from 1934-1935. Originally founded in 1883 as the Ottawa Senators, the team relocated to STL and was nicknamed the Eagles.
The concept was born out of seeing an ad for a t-shirt while I was scrolling through social media. Never having heard of the team, I did some googling.
I did, however, know a thing or two about another St. Louis hockey team--a team which also sports a winged logo…
Eventually, I came around to this design—closely reflecting the original logo, adding a modern twist and incorporating the Blue Note.
